Counter Culture
The counter culture is more commonly known as the Hippies. The hippies stood up for what they believed in like most people in America do. They loved the earth and they stood up for peace in a peaceful way. Hippies had there own type of music and there own type of style. If it weren't for the hippies we wouldn't have bell bottoms and tie dye shirts. The hippies embraced sexual revolution and took drugs such as LSD and marijuana too experience other states of consciousness. The success of the hippie culture eventually led to the legendary Woodstock music festival! Some hippies set up communes; a society where hippies could live together and share EVERYTHING, wives, husbands... everything.
